A song, as per usual.

I really like this song. I didn't even know what it was called, I literally had to google the lyrics to figure out what it's called. But now I know it's called "The Fighter" and it's by Gym Class Heroes, feat. Ryan Tedder. I actually really enjoy this video. :-] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxV-OOIamyk I'm so stoked for the olympics. :)) lol

Twenty, baby!

AND I'M DYING! I mean- not literally just mannnn! Jared told me that he was getting me a present for my birthday (fantastic. I'm broke and his birthday is coming up on the 1st of next month! Man, I'd be a lame friend if he gets me something totally awesome, and I just give him nothing!) And he said that it was coming in the mail soon. But he's not sure when he's going to get it because he said that it is suppose to come out today. So what in the heck is it? I keep thinking movies, or tv shows, or something, oh and cd's. But I really cannot think of anything! And I can't help but justify cheating concerning my googling, bcuz my birthday has already come and gone! hahaha...but twenty doesn't feel very different. It is nice to say, though, that I'm no longer a teenager. Because Jared use to be able to tease the CRAP outta me because of the fact that I was 19. Ah. I'm twenty. Take that, suckers! :D Thank goodness Sydney didn't put anything embarrassing on my wall, like a Justin Bieber video of him singing happy birthday...lol. It's good to be twenty. :) ...still kinda killing me. I WANNA FREAKING KNOW! la paciencia es una virtud. ~erinnnn

Katy Perry newfound respect

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0BWlvnBmIE So yesterday I met one of my awesome friends that I met via allstar weekend. Her name's Kaleena and she texted me yesterday telling me of a special showing of the new Katy Perry 3D movie. So I met her for the first time, which I was totally stoked for all day...haha! but I saw a preview for this movie a while ago, and decided I wanted to see it. Cuz here's the thing. My best friend from high school sang her debut song "I kissed a girl" at one of my birthdays. So, being mormon, growing up with my father (not necessarily a gay-hater, but more a gay-non-tolerater), it was...wierd. But then I heard her "Hot-N-Cold" song, and I fell in love with her voice! She just was so awesome to me. But I didn't really get into her until last year at school when she came out with one of my favorite songs from her "Firework." A huge hit with me, and it seemed everyone else too. So I started listening to her more, thanks to one of my BYU-I friends, Kim. But all this time, she just seemed like the kind of celebrity that's like Lady Gaga to me...just...strange. :D With all those hair color changes, her debut song, well...she just seemed like she was to hard to understand. But I saw the movie yesterday with Kaleena and a couple of her other friends, and man, I just fell in love with the song that I posted. It's called "Not Like the Movies." Just because, all my life, I thought when I met my husband, or even my first boyfriend, pieces would just fall in place, and life would be a breeze for me. But I've met someone. He's not my boyfriend, but yes, I do like him. We'll see. But here's the thing. It's real. I was texting my sister today, and we talked about me and this boy. And we talked about how we help each other be better people. It's not easy, actually, sometimes it's hard. (that's what she said!) But it's helping me. So yesterday when she sang this song, I don't think I've heard it before, or at least, I didn't remember it, I almost cried. Because I've hardly known him for so little time at all. So when she says it's just the beginning, at the very end of the song. I almost choked. Plus her story with Russel. kind of a little broke my heart for her. Because, there she was at the beginning-or maybe it was the middle of the movie-when she said she's found the love of her life. Man, I feel for her. I loved the movie so much, and like I said, I do have a newfound respect for Katy Perry. Is newfound one word? Whatever. lol. But I do really love her now, she's awesome. :)

been a bit...

Woah! I have not been on here a while! I was waiting for the page to load so I could start typing, and I realized it's already loaded! haha...so i guess it's catch up time! I'm living in Houston, currently renting a room from an old retired Colombian couple, and working at Walmart. Walmart's consuming a lot of my time, so I hardly get online, let alone blog. So I've made some great friends at Walmart and some of them have or are soon leaving and thank goodness some of my original friends are still there. Sure, there are a few people that I genuinely just don't really like, but for the most part, because I'm a pretty freaking friendly person, I'm at least a friendly acquaintance to most of the people with whom I work. Anyway...to get to the point. A few months ago, I made friends with an LDS mom, named Fausta, and we got along really well. So about...mmm idk, time just flies by at walmart, but after some time, she found a better job for a working mom (married!!) at a bank but it's all the way by The Galleria mall, about 20ish miles from where I live. Sure, I get good mileage on my car, but not that great! lol...so yesterday Fausta came in with her family, and it was the first time that I saw her since she left. So, naturally, I freaked...haha...but the exciting news is that, the bank that she's working at is hiring! She gave me her number and if I want the job, I'll give her a call and she'll get me an interview. I've yet to talk this over with my parents, but I was talking with another great friend that I've made at walmart (also a mom...lol, I kinda just get along really well with moms!), and she was agreeing with me when I mentioned a quote my mom has pointed out to me recently: "Everything you want is just out of your comfort zone" ...or something like that. I've never been too good at quoting verbatim...lol. So essentially, I'm thinking about taking this leap of faith for a full-time job at a bank. So, despite the fact that I haven't been on here, I couldn't forget the song for a blog rule I've got. This is one of my favorite songs right now (yup, love of music, definitely not gone in all these crazy daily changes!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWNaR-rxAic&ob=av2n :-} love it!! Last night in Manti

This has been an experience like none other. I'll be sad to leave, but I'm kinda excited for the adventures that await me in Houston. My cousins and aunt have been the BEST and I hope to visit them soon again...but next time, I'll have to bring a pig something for my aunt--she LOVES them! Well, I'd go on and on, but I gotta get packing...leaving tomorrow. *sighs talk to y'all later!

And end with a song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKh3wF7DBPk

Dearest Great Grandma Goble~

I will miss you greatly. "There's so much more than me." I have the common cold. My back tightened up so I could barely walk. But I'll never behold thy face in this life again. I can't wait until that day when I finally will see your face again. "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjrWu5K4u8s

Love forever,

Greatness

Okay, so I'm definitely not Shakespeare's biggest fan, but when he has something that is actually worthwhile listening to, I feel like I should share it. So here's a quote for today:

"Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them." ~William Shakespeare

If you haven't experienced this 'greatness' go look for it! It'll be thrusted upon you! Just like in Matthew 21:22-- And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
So go ahead! Ask! And Shakespeare wasn't crazy to say "Be not afraid."

Update from Utah!!:)

So I'm finally here! I've been here for about a week now...basically what I've done...hmmm...chill with my cousins Katy and Jake, and of course my loverly aunt Rene, and Jake's friends that are here almost every day. They all make fun of my accent! :( they're like, "Wait-- you're from Wisconsin, I mean WisCANsin? hahaha!" and I'm just like,"Shut. Up." And I occaisionally throw pillow's at their faces...specifically this one kid Bryant. Oh, and did I mention the CATS?! And that I'm allergic to cats?! They have FIVE! Holyyyy cowww! The other day, my cousin Katy was holding one of them, and I just went to softly pet it for a bit, and she freaked out! I was like, "It's fine! haha." Then a couple nights ago, I decided to sleep on the living room couch...bad idea. The next morning I woke up with wickedly irritable red eyes, and I'm such a wimp/retard that I couldn't even put in my own eye drops, so I go up to my Aunt Rene, and I'm like..."ehem...Do you mind doing these for me?...haha..." Oh, and yesterday, I took a bike ride. Best. Bikeride. Ever!! I could see the temple here EVERYWHERE! It was so awesome! :))) So that's it for now. [: I love my new life in Manti. I'll probably put up pictures soon...when I pick it up from Rene's parent's...ya I'm really lame haha.
Peace!
